Love You A Lot - Alternate Project - Mini Album April 2015 Paper Pumpkin |
I do adore you. The project kits in this subscription box are just what I need when I want to play by the rules - and when I want to challenge myself to #MakeSomething.
Sign up for a kit and see for yourself!
Order by Sunday to get the May project delivered to your door!
Since Mothers Day is fast approaching, and last months kit wasn't all that mothers day-ish, I set out to make something for Mom out of this kit. Oh and I am so tickled with the results!! I even have enough to make one for Dad!! Squeeeee!! I do love a versatile project!
Its a Mini Album. I can tuck a gift card, or two, into the pockets. Its got room for sweet notes to my mom. Its got cute photos she can display. I <3 it="" p="">
I used 4 of the pocket cards to create the album. I used the Blue card bases for this one, and I'll use the yellow for my Dad's. I created an accordion binding for the book by scoring a card base every 3/4" from the short edge. I then scored at about 1.25" from the opposite edge to create the overlay bind on the outer edge.
The pages are tucked into the valleys, with the pockets all facing the same but for the last page, to keep it on the inside of the album. I secured this with double sided tape (Stampin' Up! Snail worked great!) and then decorated the pockets and added the embellishments. I used mainly the blue accent pieces, and mixed in the yellow stamps.
I love how I can use the MOM stamp to say WOW too! That will be useful!!
