Stampin' Up! Bright and Beautiful with Christmas Bliss Stamp Sets |
Today's cards are a layout I loved from a sympathy card. I thought it might work well for a Christmas card. I think it does, what do you think?
The base of the card is Daffodil Delight, layered with Night of Navy. It is dark, but not black. The stars and other elements of the Bright and Beautiful stamp set are randomly stamped in Night of Navy onto a Whisper White layer, then I added another set of navy & white layers with a single star stamp. The sentiment is from the Christmas Bliss stamp set. I could scale this card up (is A2 4.25x5.5") and use the sentiment in the Bright and Beautiful set, but I don't usually do cards that large. ;-)

Blender Pen added some Daffodil Delight accents to the center star. Gold 1/8" Ribbon casually tied |
Used the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to add color, then used Blender Pen to wash the color outwards. Simple ribbon accent. |
Someone asked me why I always seem to do two cards. I figure I'm cutting the card stock anyway, and I can always play around with the layout. Sometimes that first card is just not what I was going for, so having a second ready to stamp lets me stay in the 'creative zone' instead of falling back into the 'prep zone'. For me, I think I dwell too much in possibility sometimes, and multiples allow me to play around with an idea. And/Or I may make some mistakes, ahem... embellishment opportunities now and then, so a second card comes in handy. LOL
Happy Crafting!
