Here we are enjoying a pre-event luncheon at Casa Orozco in Livermore. Lunch was delicious, but the company was the best part! I love getting together with these ladies!!
We made the quick drive over to the Guerre Winery after lunch, where we were greeted with a darling candy bar, cute little favor boxes made from the 2x2 Treat Boxes in the Holiday Catalog. A beautiful buffet of snack foods - fruit, cheese, crackers, some DIVINE macaroons and very rich and delicious brownies. Yes, we had just had lunch... No we could not resist!
The Unite and Excite events are meant to gather together smaller groups from the same region to meet one another, share ideas about business and Stampin' Up! products, and network. We have many online opportunities for this, and our annual convention, but it was really nice to see ladies from around here and get to hear their ideas! Online what may work in one region would never fly in another... so many variables. Getting together with Demonstrators closer to me really helps with ideas that are realistic for my region. We have some great Demonstrators in our area, it was a pleasure to hear the speakers and see those Demos whose work I admire and follow online.
We had a make and take project, there were display boards and samples of projects. I participated in a card swap with about 50 other Demonstrators, so I have quite the collection (which I will share this week) of cards using different stamp sets and products and techniques! Love the variety!! We enjoyed Prize Patrol, and fun discussions of business practices, and to top it off: a gift to take home from Stampin' Up! The Every Day Occasions Card Kit! An awesome kit that has everything you need inside to make 20 different cards, with enough supplies left over for using on any number of other projects! A great kit!! See it HERE in my online store.
All in all, a very fun day! I enjoy spending time with my fellow demonstrators almost as much as I enjoy spending time with my crafty customers and friends. #craftyfriendsarethebest
Happy Crafting!
