I saw a tutorial on Google (my other BFF :) for these apples, but after getting all the supplies and trying one, I decided to modify it to be easier for the younger kids I had invited to our Back to School party! ( see that party post Here)
Back to School Candy Apple for the Teacher |
Cut the stick of the lolly in half, and color the stump brown for your apple stem |
With the zipper side down, nestle your pop in the center with the stem out the top
Fold the bag around and hold the two top corners together.
Then smush (technical term) the bag into the ramekin.
Not exactly apple-like!
Fuss with it a bit, pushing the candy around and adjusting the bag,
to create a more rounded top:
In the gap side where the bag end meet, tuck your green circle, folded in half,
and secure with a bit of glue or double stick tape. A leaf!
Then add the ribbon to your tag, and tie it onto the apple 'stem'.
Have your student sign the back & you've got a sweet treat to give the teacher!
It'll be a big treat having you as my Teacher! |
Happy Crafting!!
